Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is an easy and tax efficient scheme which allows for employees to donate to a charity of their choice on a regular basis.

It's a great way of providing charities, like Founders4Schools, with a regular reliable income stream and gives employees a tax break on their donation.

There are many benefits to this method of giving for both employers and employees:

Employer benefits

  • Show commitment to your employees to help them support causes they care about
  • Boosts your CSR profile and public image
  • Improves staff morale and motivation
  • Simple to set up and run through our provider Payroll Giving in Action
  • No fees
  • All tools and materials to promote the scheme to your employees are provided
  • Recognition via Quality Mark Awards

Employee benefits

  • Donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p
  • Easy and convenient, once it’s set up you can be a donor for as long as you wish
  • It can be for any amount, depending entirely on what you feel you can afford

It allows you to help F4S long-term, providing us with a valuable source of constant funding, which can help us budget and plan ahead more effectively

There are various different facilitators for Payroll Giving and your employer may already have a scheme in place. If you are an employer interested in introducing a scheme, you can find out more here.
