Lutyens Advisory, a global executive search and advisory business, and Founders4Schools (F4S), a charity with a mission to improve the employment chances of young people, partner to help build a diverse and skilled emerging workforce. Together, the two organisations set out to diversify the investment industry, by showcasing to young people the many opportunities that exist within and inspire them to pursue their own career pathways in the field.
With the mission to prepare young people for the world of work, the F4S platform connects educators and industry professionals via school, college and university events that aim to inspire and inform students about the different career pathways that exist today - so that young people learn from an early age what role they can play in the future. F4S place considerable focus on supporting underserved areas in the UK to ensure that young people have equal opportunities to enter and thrive in the careers they choose.
Highlighting their commitment to CSR and early careers, the partnership will see Lutyens Advisory employees volunteer in role model events for young people as well as helping to facilitate work experience placements to shape early careers. Lutyens will also take the partnership one step further: for every candidate placement made, they will make a donation to F4S, and in doing so help to inspire and support young people at the start of their career.
Lutyens Advisory already supports their clients to find and build a diverse talent pipeline but have identified a wider need and interest to levelling the playing field. Tanya Lutyens, founding partner of Lutyens Advisory, says “Our many years in the headhunting and consulting advisory space has shown us that the issues in diversity are a big topic of conversation and concern. These conversations have led us to partner with F4S to support the amazing work that they do, and work towards securing an equal playing field for our industry.
Michaela Eschbach, MD at Founders4Schools adds “We are delighted to work in partnership with Lutyens Advisory, to support F4S in preparing young people for the world of work, particularly showcasing the diversity of roles in the investment space. Lutyens are a great example of how organisations can take ownership of securing the workforce of today, whilst positively contributing to the workforce of tomorrow.”
“Our partnership with F4S is about creating a path for the next generation into the asset management sector, particularly those who might otherwise think they don’t belong. We want to attract the best talent to the industry - critical to that is the platform created by F4S which says to those individuals that ‘you do belong here, and you are needed in the industry for your perspectives and wide variety of gifts’. This will be our first partnership of this kind, towards creating better talent access.” says Anna Rolt, founding partner of Lutyens Advisory.
