Scholarships for the new Google Career Certificates are now available, and Founders4Schools, through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is excited to help bring these scholarships to the young people we support.
Digital skills are one of the 3 pillars of our charity's mission to address the increasing skills gap in the developing workforce and improve social mobility and drive gender equity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). By supporting young people to see the career opportunities available to them in the digital sector we aim to provide them with a pathway to a bright future while supporting UK businesses to find the talent they need to build their business.
Google Career Certificates provide people with rapid reskilling for high-growth jobs without the need for a college degree or prior relevant experience in the fields of IT support, data analytics, project management, and user experience (UX) design.
The Google Career Certificate program can help you get on the fast track to a competitively paid job in a high-growth field. You don’t need relevant experience or a degree to complete this flexible, online job training. Just put the skills, passion, and ambition you already have to work.
Designed by Google, this self-paced, online training program can prepare you for careers in the high-growth fields of project management, user experience (UX) design, data analytics, and IT support. And with under 10 hours spent studying a week, you can be prepped for a new career in under six months. Once you graduate from the Google Career Certificate program, you can explore relevant jobs at companies including Google Career Certificate employer consortium members who openly express their interest in receiving applications from people who have completed a Google Career Certificate.
