A big thank you to all our inspiring role models in Volunteers’ Week 2023
1 Jun 2023

This week marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June). To celebrate Founders4Schools is joining thousands of charities and voluntary organisations in recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK. This is our chance to say thank you to everyone that supports the vital work that we do, giving their time and insight for free to benefit young people across the UK.

Founders4Schools is celebrating the 1000s of volunteers who have supported us since our charity was founded in 2015 leading to over 28,000 hours volunteered.

“Volunteers' Week is a chance to celebrate and recognise the fantastic contribution our volunteers make to the young people who are supported by Founders4Schools. Their willingness to give up their time to share their story helps give young people and their teachers real insight into what different jobs involve, what it is like to work in different industries and sectors and what skills they need in the world of work.

The theme for this year's Volunteering Week is to celebrate and inspire which is the heart of what we ask our volunteers to do. By shining a light on their industry they are helping young people make decisions about what the future career paths should be, helping them to be more informed and empowered about their futures
.

We are immensely proud of our volunteers here at Founders4Schools and thank them for their support and commitment to the UK's young people"

Interim Executive Director
Alison Rowan McEwan

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole have never been more important.
